Y Strainers – Cast Iron, Flanged Ends, Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel and More
Y strainers are a really good choice for applications where small amounts of particulate are anticipated and basket clean-outs will be occasional. Y strainers should be installed in applications where the fluid flow can be disrupted or the strainer filter can be isolated to remove the basket for cleaning.
We work with the manufacturers, such as Fluid Engineering, that offer a complete line of Y strainers available in casting or fabricated construction to meet the requirements of many different applications. Below you will find just a few product examples and a catalog.

180 YFT Models
- Cast Iron (CI), Carbon Steel (CS), Stainless Steel (SS)
- Flanged Ends, Flat Face
- Size Range: 2″ to 24″
New design with gauge taps! This is a standard feature on all 180 YFT models in sizes 2″ to 20″. These taps allow for easy installation of pressure gauges to monitor differential pressure and determine if and when screen cleaning is required.

YFT 1500 Models
- Ideal for High-Pressure Applications.
- Carbon Steel (YFT 1500), Stainless Steel (YFT 1500SS).
- Fnalged Ends, Raised Face.
- Size Range: 2″ to 8″
YFT model Y-strainers are ideal for petrochemical and other demanding applications that have higher temperature and pressure requirements.

YTT, YSWT, YTT, and YSWT Models
- Threaded and Socket Weld.
- Carbon and Stainless Steel.
- Size Range: Cap Cover – 0.25″ to 2″. Bolted Cover: 2″ to 3″.
Bolted and Cap Cover Designs: YTT and YSWT models in sizes 2.5″ and 3″ have a bolted cover as a standard. On YTT and YSWT models in sizes 0.25″ to 1.5″, cap covers are standard.

YTT and YSWT models are ideal for demanding industrial applications that have higher pressure and temperature requirements. Both are dual rated for ANSI Class 600 and 1500.
