Background:
Engie is a global energy and services group. One of their core activities is low-carbon power generation, mainly based on natural gas and renewable energy. They have over 150,000 employees, with operations in 70 countries.
Problem:
When starting operations in a natural compressed gas station in Mexico, the Engineers at site realized that the natural gas they were receiving was arriving with a lot more contamination than originally estimated, so the filter-coalescer elements installed were lasting only a fraction of the time they were supposed to. With just a minimal stock of filter-coalescer elements at the site, and the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) offering very long delivery times, the operators faced the risk of running out of replacement filter-coalescer elements, which could possibly force a plant shut down. They started looking internationally for alternate suppliers of filter elements and contacted our Advanz office in Monterrey. We quickly responded and visited them at the site to assess their situation.
Solution:
We evaluated the OEM filter-coalescer elements they were using, and in only 48 hours, we were able to present them with a proposal of our own elements to replace theirs. Our proposed replacement elements were the perfect fit in dimensions, but with the added benefits of more resistance to extreme operating conditions (would last longer), and at a much shorter delivery time. Plus, at a better price than their original elements!
Advanz can replace (and with improved performance) most natural gas filter elements and coalescers in the industry. Let us know how we can help!
